Chelsea's stutter...

The current form of stuttering Chelsea is vastly becoming a huge talking point in football so lets have a quick look into where it is going wrong for Chelsea.

With constant rumours floating around about trouble behind the scenes at Chelsea such as senior players texting former boss Jose Mourinho which for a start seems wrong to me. As a Manager you need to have the trust of your players and that is something that Andre Villas Boas is struggling to achieve at Chelsea. This is clearly one of the sign's that the players clearly don't like what is happening at Chelsea which is a real shame because in my opinion Andre Villas Boas is a fantastic young manager, In fact I will go so far as to say that he may be one of the best young managers in the world right now.

Strangely I think after watching his philosophy of football at FC Porto and Chelsea I think that Villas Boas would be perfectly suited at somewhere like Arsenal where IF Arsene Wenger does end up getting sacked, I think that Villas boas would be the perfect man to take over at the Emirates. Players like Mata, Meireles would fit in well at a club like Arsenal with maybe less pressure to succeed then Chelsea.

However enough of my opinions, Andre Villas Boas has been under much scrutiny at Stamford Bridge and possibly his age may be a large factor in his time at Chelsea. Villas Boas only being 34 which is a incredibly young age for Football Manager. Infact most of the Chelsea team including players like Frank Lampard, John Terry, Didier Drogba, Petr Cech are all around the same age. It sounds to me that going by all the reports these players are really dominating the behind the scenes activity at Chelsea. In some ways I think this relationship could work between players and manager but whether it will or not is a different matter!

On the pitch I think it is more the players have let themselves down rather than the manager as a run of poor results has seen Chelsea slide to 5th place in the Premier League. If the position were to stay the same then I think the mighty Russian upstairs could have a few things to say as it would be his lowest finish since becoming the owner of Chelsea Football Club.

So where can Chelsea improve I hear you ask?

Well first of all they can sell outspoken striker Didier Drogba as he doesn't seem to contributing much on the pitch but does seem to be off the field and not in a good way.

The second thing they need to do is sit down and have a talk with captain John Terry to let him know how important he is to the team and how he needs to really get behind Andre Villas Boas if he wants the team to be successful.

Tell the team that it is NOT about individuals and that they need to be united as a team.

Lastly Chelsea owner Roman Abramovic needs to come out and say that he is 100% behind Villas Boas and that anyone he doesn't like it knows where the door is.

That is all for today.

Thanks
Chip
